Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health

WHAT IS INFANT AND EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH (IECMH)?

It’s the developing capacity from birth to 6 to experience, regulate, and express emotions; to form close relationships; and to explore the environment and learn, all in the context of family, community, and cultural expectations for young children.

Our work in IECMH stems largely from our partnership with the Massachusetts Association for Infant Mental Health (MassAIMH) Learn more about IECMH research, workforce development, and legislative affairs by visiting the MassAIMH website

  • January 15th
  • March 26th
  • May 28th
